Google stated that the new platform would be incorporated directly into new high-definition Television sets and Blu-ray Disc Players by Sony,although set-top boxes would also be developed by Logitech.The new systems developed by Sony and Logitech would be powered by Intel Atom based CE4100 consumer electronics system-on-chip.

Google TV is a Smart/Connected TV. It was co-developed by Google,Intel,Sony and Logitech. Google TV launched on October 6,2010 with the devices from Sony and Logitech. Google TV works on Android Opraing System and having Linux version with Google Chrome Browser to provide better interface with existing Internet Television and Web TV sites. Google tv project was underway using the Android Operating system.
